I thought I would write a few thoughts while I’m waiting to do a radio interview with 97.1 FM Talk in St. Louis…I don’t get nervous, as such, when doing this, just worried that the dog will bark, my throat will be dry and I’ll sound like a drunken frog, or that I’ll have to pee half way through! I’m listening to the live stream of it on the ‘net, and I have done an interview with this host before (Dave Glover, although I don’t know if he remembers it from 2002), so there’s nothing to worry about…except the whole needing the bathroom thing half way through!
As you may or may not know, I’ve been sick for a while…a really long time…since before Christmas, and I’m just getting to the point where I’m interacting with the world again. It’s been hard, but I think I have come out of the worst of it and I’m back into the world again. It can be a depressing time; my head is swarming with great ideas for the site, for writing, for life in general, and my body is on a permanent vacation. La la la, oh did you want me to do something, Susan? I’m busy being sick, so forget it all! But as long as I can remember that things will get better soon, life is better. (And it doesn’t hurt that my boyfriend and my mom and my friends are totally great!)
I have to thank everyone who has sent me such lovely letters lately. I don’t know what I’ve done to deserve such kindness, but every passing hour brings more and more letters professing a love, an appreciation, or a giggle at the site. I’ve never in my life been so showered with kind words and lack of flames. (Re: the flames…I used to get at least a dozen a month. Now, nothing. Is it because I’ve threatened to post names and information to this site??? Not sure, but I do appreciate it…) I can’t get over how wonderful everyone has been lately, and I appreciate it.
There is so much going on on the Sea Monkey front — new tanks, new figurines, all kinds of new things in general — and I lie awake at night trying to think of the best way to present this on the site…hence the upcoming changes. I am trying to make things easy to find, easy to see, but it’s hard when one has so much information. I’ve been collecting everyone’s comments and questions and hope that I’ll be able to present the super-site (ha ha ha!) in the very near future.
If you have any questions or comments or suggestions or offers to help, write to me The Sea Monkey Lady and let me know!!! I’m always up for any constructive criticism or assistance…as you can see, I’m not really the internet wiz, but I can put together a little css and a little html and try to make it pleasant on the eyes…
